Pharrell Talks HTC One Concert, New Daft Punk Collabos

In a world where smartphones outnumber people, it takes true innovation to move consumers. Looking to take the lead in the overcrowded market, HTC presents its new gamechanger, the One.

With a clean aluminum body, lightweight, extensive photo gallery, media and sound options, HTC’s One is the perfect tool for anyone looking to have every luxury at their fingertips.

The HTC One not only features upgraded stereo speakers and camera technology, but also offers a new homescreen option to stream multiple social media services at the same time.

Set to launch tomorrow (Apr. 19) with an exclusive concert by Pharrell at Brooklyn’s House of Vans, VIBE spoke to the trendsetter about why he jumped on board to help set things off.

“I just thought the approach was ambitious. It was left of what most tech companies are trying to do,” Pharrell says of HTC. “They’re not afraid of innovative ideas and pushing boundaries.”

“The concert is going to be electric,” Pharrell continues. “I’m going to give the crowd something they’re never going to forget. There is this song that we just dropped, so you may see something extra special.”

Skateboard P is obviously referring to his new Daft Punk collaboration, “Get Lucky.” “We cut another song as well,” Pharrell tells VIBE. “It’s for their project. That’s the most I can say about it.”

“It’s the robots. Everything they do is a big deal,” says Pharrell about the duo, “Everything that they do is so huge and becomes a wonder of the world. For me. it’s just an honor to do something with them.”

Pharrell also tells VIBE that fans should expect a flurry of new collaborations this summer
