‘Vanilla Ice Goes Amish’ To Debut On DIY Network

Vanilla Ice is warming up for the cameras again.

In a new show Vanilla Ice Goes Amish, the “Ice, Ice Baby” MC will make an Amish community in Ohio his new home as the residents school him on construction, AP reports. The series is set to premiere later this year on the DIY television network, where he already occupies the top time slot with another renovation series.

Ice recently took to Twitter to celebrate The Vanilla Ice Project’s success as the show makes its fourth season run on the do-it-yourself channel. “Thank you guys for making the vanilla ice project #1 – I luv hearing the stories of inspiration – the housing market is coming back strong,” he tweeted.

DIY is turning more music artists into handymen as Rev Run of Run DMC will be returning to the small screen alongside his wife and three children in the new show The Rev. Run Project. The former Run’s House star and his family give their New Jersey home a facelift in the series set to premiere in 2014.

Keeping in tune with the musical theme, rock star Daryl Hall also takes to the small screen as he renovates his Connecticut farmhouse.
