Daft Punk Random Access Memories Sells Over A Million Copies In One Week

We told you it was The Robots’ Playground. Turns out, Random Access Memories is the play heard around the world. It’s been one week since Daft Punk debuted Random Access Memories. In the US, Random Access Memories has sold 339,000 copies, with the vinyl version becoming the biggest selling vinyl album in SoundScan’s LP Vinyl chart history.

In addition, Daft Punk has been getting lucky on Spotify and iTunes. Not that luck has anything to do with the 97 countries that have taken cyber leaps to obtain the 13-tracks from Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Julian Casablancas, Panda Bear, Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Williams, Todd Edwards, Chilly Gonzales, DJ Falcon and the rest of their well-oiled army of musician greats.

It’s music for the world… officially.
