Mariah Carey Denies Standing Ovation for Jennifer Lopez During 'Idol' Performance
Mariah Carey was the diva that could not be moved during the season finale of American Idol. Despite the low ratings, executives made sure the last episode was star studded with appearances from Jennifer Hudson, Aretha Franklin, Emeli Sande and Jennifer Lopez, who gave a high energy performance of "Live It Up," her new single with fellow Latino Pitbull. Although the 10-minute performance earned her a standing ovation from Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban, Carey decided to stay in her seat and smile...because she knew we were all watching.
It was recently announced that all four judges would not be returning next season, including Carey, whose feud with fellow judge Nicki Minaj has overshadowed the entire season.
