4 Women Disappear in Mexico Mass Kidnapping

Four women disappeared from a Mexico City bar on Sunday (May 26), along with one minor and six men. The mass abduction took place between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon near the city’s main traffic area, Fox News reports.

According to Mexico City Officials, the gunmen entered the Zona Rosa District with intentions to only rob the youth but kidnapped them instead.

Stricken family members are outraged as police show little effort in gathering witnesses or providing evidence.

“How could so many people have disappeared, just like that, in broad daylight?” said one mother of the missing. “The police say they don’t have them, so what, the earth just opened up and swallowed them?”

This tragedy comes days after the death of Malcolm X’s grandson, who was beaten to death in a bar near the district.
