Pusha T Says 'Niggas In Paris' Beat Was His First
Watch The Throne's Grammy award-winning infectious anthem "Niggas In Paris" almost belonged to another G.O.O.D. rapper.
In a recent interview with Askmen.com, Push revealed that the Hit-Boy beat was initially sent to him first by Kanye West.
Believing the tune sounded like a video game, he turned it down. "He sent me some stuff that I don’t always feel," Pusha said in regards to the track. "It happens. Then he’ll go out of his way to prove you wrong. And he does sometimes."
The uptempo track would go on this year to nab the gramophones in the best rap song and best rap performance categories.
The Clipse MC says his loss was a learning experience. "You have to have that imagination sometime, and that’s something I’m learning," he told the men's mag. "I’m so ready to rap and stuff that imagination don’t be kicking in."
His freshman debut, My Name is My Name is scheduled to be released on July 16. The album will include production from Kanye, Timbaland and Pharell.
