‘Scandal’ Season Finale Breaks Social Media Record


The Gladiators have spoken. The Wednesday night season finale of Scandal was the series most watched episode ever with an all time high in all of its women demographics (18-34, 18-49, 25-54) in addition to winning the 10pm time slot. It was also ABC’s most social program with over 4.3 million tweets throughout the season and 571,353 for the finale.

Series creator Shonda Rhimes had every wine bottle turned and tissue box emptied with a cliffhanger that had jaws hitting the floor. Fans anxiously await the premiere of season three in the fall.
