All Women Jury Selected for George Zimmerman Trial

The fate of George Zimmerman will be decided by an all women jury. Yesterday, the panel was chosen after two weeks of jury selection from a group of 40 citizens that made it to the second round of questioning. Five of the six-women group are white while the last is Latina. Two men and two women were also chosen as alternate jurors.

It is rumored that at least four are mothers, two are recently located and one was previously arrested, but holds no malice toward the judicial system.

Commentators have already criticized the government for not selecting any African American jurors while others argue that it only reflects Seminole County, whose population is over 3/4 white.

Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, is criminally charged with killing 17-year old Trayvon Martin last February. Despite claiming self-defense, evidence proves otherwise.

Let’s hope justice is truly served.
