Chris Brown Denies Assault, Hit And Run Charges On Twitter

Chris Brown is wiping his hands clean off the drama. After reports surfaced that the singer assaulted a woman in a California nightclub this past weekend and claims that he was being charged with a hit-and-run this past month, Brown took to his Twitter to stake his claim.

“It’s not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous,” he explained of the minor fenderbender he and close friend Karrueche Tran encountered in Los Angeles in May. “I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene … She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures … My profile pic is the pic I took of the persons car after “the hit and run”. NO damage. Just a dirty car.once again, I gotta clear my name.”

He continued to throw digital darts at TMZ for reporting that he had laid his hands on a woman. “@tmz is the devil.. Just yesterday you guys were accusing me of assaulting someone( which was false) and now today it’s some more bs,” he continued with his rant. “My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism!”

Meanwhile, the gossip outlet stands firm in its reports that Breezy is being charged for fleeing the scene of the car accident.

We’ve learned the L.A. City Attorney has filed 2 criminal charges against Brown, in connection with a minor accident last month where Chris rear-ended a Mercedes and allegedly refused to fork over his driver’s license number and gave bogus insurance info and then left the scene … The City Attorney has charged Chris with hit-and-run — for leaving the scene without exchanging proper information. He’s also been charged with the crime of driving without a valid license. The crimes are punishable by a maximum of 6 months in jail for each offense.

As the 24-year-old crafts his forthcoming album X, the singer continues to be a walking bullseye for controversy but won’t let it derail his hustle. “I work my ass off to provide for my entire family. I’ve made mistakes in the past and have worked hard to be a better person,” he wrote. “19-24 years of age. I don’t have all the answers and you can’t show me a person that age who has it figured out.We live and grow.Let me live.”
