Ex-NBA Player Mookie Blaylock in Critical Condition After Car Crash, Pearl Jam Tweet Sentiments

Former NBA player Mookie Blaylock is in critical condition at an Atlanta-area hospital following a car crash Friday night.

Blaylock's SUV swerved over the median south of the city and hit an oncoming van head-on, killing one person in the car. Blaylock was air-lifted from the crash scene to Atlanta Medical Center where he was initially put on life support. The 46-year-old former point guard was taken off life support and is now in guarded critical condition.

The van's passenger Monica Murphy, 43, was pronounced dead just before 10PM on Friday. Her husband Frankie Murphy, 41, suffered a broken ankle and was released from the hospital after treatment.

"Our thoughts are with Mookie Blaylock, who is in the hospital tonight after a car crash," tweeted the Atlanta Hawks. Blaylock had spent seven seasons with team between 1992-99.

Blaylock, who played in the NBA for a total of thirteen season, the final three with the Golden State Warriors, is said to suffer from seizures, which police are looking into as the cause of the crash.

"Prayers out to Mookie Blaylock and his family! Big fan of his as a kid #PG #NBAFamily," tweeted the Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Paul.

Blaylock began his career as a first-round draft pick for the New Jersey Nets in 1989. During the 1996-97 season, the six-foot point guard was second in the league in 3-point shots, and also lead the league in steals that year and the next. His name resonated with members of the band Pearl Jam, who originally named their grunge-rock outfit Mookie Blaylock and titled their debut album Ten after his jersey number.

"Sending good thoughts to Mookie," tweeted the band, along with the photo below.

Video Surfaces Of Osundairo Brothers Buying Supplies For Jussie Smollett Attack

A new video of the Osundairo brothers, the two who alleged Jussie Smollett hired them to stage an attack in Chicago earlier this year, has surfaced online. The video shows Ola and Abel Osundairo purchasing supplies that were allegedly used in the attack.

The video, which was obtained by CBS, shows the two brothers stepping up to the cashier's counter to buy ski masks, gloves, bandanas, sunglasses, and red hats that resembled MAGA hats. At one point in the video, Abel pulls his hood over his head, perhaps in an attempt to avoid showing his face on surveillance cameras.

I tracked down surveillance of the Osundairo's buying supplies before "attack"

Sources say Jussie Smollet told brothers what to buy.

Countless phone calls placed for this.

Visited more stores than I wish to admit. @cbschicago

CBS2 reports that the brothers bought the suspected supplies the day before the "attack" on Jussie. While previous videos obtained by the Chicago PD suggest the attackers were wearing ski masks at the time, the new footage does not confirm that Smollett orchestrated the attack.

The Empire actor has reportedly agreed to sit down with the police for another interview. Check out the new video below.
