J. Cole Talks ‘New Legends,’ LeBron James And More With The Breakfast Club

J. Cole has been heavy on the scene, promoting his second album Born Sinner. The North Carolina rep stopped by Power 105’s The Breakfast Club to chop it up with the radio trio about making room for new legends in rap, even working in a basketball analogy. “It’s a caution to the people who are watching or still reminiscing on the Jordans,” said Cole about hip-hop’s rising stars versus established greats. “There’s people that will ride so hard for Jordan that they deny how amazing LeBron James is.” Watch the full interview where he discusses Nas’ reaction to “Let Nas Down,” getting his degree from St. John’s University and fires a couple shots in a loaded freestyle above. —Nina Marrissa (@NinaMarrissa)
