Lil Snupe Murder Suspect In Custody

Louisiana authorities say the 36-year-old man accused of killing rapper Lil Snupe has turned himself in. Winnfield Police Chief Johnny Ray Carpenter said in a news release that Tony Holden surrendered Tuesday morning, according to the Associated Press.

Holden was booked on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for his involvement in the murder of the up-and-coming MC. Police say Holden shot Meek Mill’s protégé, real name Addarren Ross, last Thursday after an argument broke out over a video game dispute at a friend’s apartment. Ross, 18, had been reportedly shot twice in the chest.

No bond has been set and it was not immediately known whether Holden had an attorney.

Before his death, Lil Snupe landed a recording deal with the Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers label. The MMG signee recently released a tribute video in memory of the fallen rapper. —Andrew Asare
