Sarah Jessica Parker to Launch New Shoe Line
Great news from the shoes gods!
Sarah Jessica Parker is launching SJP--her first shoe collection in collaboration with Manolo Blahnik--bringing her character Carrie Bradshaw's shoe dreams to life.
Parker's Sex and the City character is a style icon and because she "got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes, and by default I learned an enormous amount," the actress told Vogue.
Bradshaw's alter ego is offering "something different" to reflect her personal taste and, according to British Vogue, "old-school labels like Charles Jourdan and Maud Frizon" inspired her collection. "We're putting new colors together that people don't typically do."
She's also expected to design bags inspired by styles of the 70s and 80s, but don't worry about breaking your piggy banks to snatch up her collection. The shoes range between $200 and $300 and the bags will be around $700.
The line will be sold exclusively through Nordstrom in 2014. While you wait, click through Carrie Bradshaw's best fashion moments here.
