OVO Fest First Day Cancelled Due To Frank Ocean Vocal Injury

Bad news for OVO Festival-goers. After cancelled performances overseas and an audio-less “Versace” remix, looks like we may not hear from Frank Ocean for a minute. LiveNation announced that the Grammy-winning singer will no longer make his scheduled appearance at the upcoming OVO Fest, causing Drake’s fourth annual music showcase to cancel their first night.

Ocean, who was slated to headline alongside James Blake on August 4, recently tore his vocal cord during the opening night of his Australian tour. The injury has resulted in a last-minute shuffle as Blake’s set has now been pushed to August 5, the second day of the festival where Drizzy, Wale, Jhene Aiko and other performers will hit the stage.

The Odd Future crooner recently shut down appearances in Australia and his upcoming appearance at Osheaga Fest in Montreal from August 2 to 4 following doctor’s orders.
