Angel Haze, Lianne La Havas on Their Lollapalooza Debut

Angel Haze had her sights set on Lollapalooza 2012. The upcoming emcee was hoping to make an appearance last year with Bassnectar, who headlined the fest’s raucous Perry’s stage, for their collaboration “Freestyle.” Things didn’t work out, but lucky for Angel Haze her hype over the last year — including the release of her New York EP and Classick mixtapes — landed the “Drop It” rapper her own slot on the 2013 lineup.

Making your way to the stage of America’s biggest festival is a dream come true for artists. For Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste, whose band has played Lollapalooza three times already, the “dream come true” moments keep coming.

Says Droste, “I’m super excited to be playing the main stage, and also right before The Cure, whom I’m a big fan of.” Check out backstage interviews with the bands from the Samsung Galaxy tent.
