Producer Scott Storch Reportedly Robbed At Gunpoint
Hip-pop beatsmith Scott Storch reemerged in headlines after apparently being the victim of a robbery. According to TMZ, Storch was allegedly robbed at gun point, while leaving Platinum Studios in Times Square. Storch filed a police report in the city, indicating he was approached by two armed men early Tuesday morning (August 20).
The crooks reportedly stole a briefcase filled with nearly $5k in cash, along with several pieces of jewelry, worth around $100,000. The report also claims that the driver of the SUV was told to hand over the keys, after they demanded Storch to "give [them] all his jewelry and cash or he was dead."
Last year, the famed producer who worked on hits such as "Lean Back" and "STILL D.R.E." was arrested in Las Vegas for possession of cocaine. His storied legal woes span the latter half of the early 2000s and include a grand theft auto charge, missed child support payments and filing for bankruptcy.
