Sean Kingston Facing Lawsuit Over Alleged Gang Rape
A good night turned bad may have Sean Kingston facing serious legal problems. According to TMZ, the singer, his bodyguard and band member allegedly gang raped a drunk teenage girl in Kingston's hotel room in 2010.
Though he reportedly denies the attack, Carissa Capeloto, now 22, claims she was forced into intercourse with the "Beat It" singer and his two-man crew in a Seattle hotel. She says she was "obviously intoxicated, incapable of consent" after allegedly smoking pot and taking 7 to 10 shot of vodka.
Capeloto says that Kingston allegedly invited her to his room for a meet-and-greet after performing at a Justin Bieber concert. She also alleges that her friend had entered the room and saved her before phoning the police and being taken to the hospital, where she says she was treated with "physical injuries consistent with rape."
Criminal charges were reportedly dropped against Kingston in 2010 after cops determined Capeloto's account not credible enough for a legitimate case. The Back 2 Life singer, who survived a nearly fatal jet ski accident in 2011, filed documents insisting the sex was 100% consensual. A trial is set for November.
