Tameka Raymond Addresses Custody Drama on ‘Good Morning America’

If you thought Tameka Raymond was done defending herself against the media, you were wrong. The mother of two and ex-wife of Usher Raymond stopped by Good Morning America to discuss the details surrounding her son’s pool accident. She recalls getting a phone call from the “Scream” singer, saying that it felt like the same call she got last year about her now deceased 11-year old song Kile Glover.

“I don’t blame him, but I’m angry it happened on his watch,” she says about ex-husband’s parenting skills. Going forward, she hopes that gaining custody of “Cinco” and his younger brother will create a more stable environment for them.

“I want to have first right of refusal. (If Usher is out of town) I don’t want them to go home to the nanny and watch whatever show their dad is on. They should be home with their mom.”

Tameka, who is rumored to be joining the Hollywood Exes spinoff, also discussed her frustration with the media labeling her as the “crazy ex” instead of a career woman.

“I don’t have an agent. I have regular, working-class friends and family. We don’t know how to fight the machine. I had a career, and to be reduced to some baby momma and gold-digger is hurtful.”
