First Look: Quvenzhané Wallis Looks Precocious As Star Of 'Annie'
From that polka-dotted backpack to the CitiBike that 10-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis rides in the scene, it looks like that Annie remake is going to be a bonanza at the box office.
Produced by entertainment titans Jay Z, Will Smith and Jada Smith, the pint-sized Beasts Of The Southern Wild star was snapped by paps filming a scene looking as cute as can be. As the precocious young Oscar nominated star rides around Harlem in the trendy bike, the Will Gluck directed, Emma Thompson and Aline Brosh McKenna written project has sprung a very interesting leak.
Sporting a spunky pink hoodie and matching hi-tops, along with gray leggings and a denim skirt, rocking a colorful t-shirt, Wallis' newly sprung image is the first shot to hit the web thus far in the film' production.
For those just joining us, the original premise for this reboot of the Harold Gray comic strip starred The Smith's daughter, Willow, who aged out of the role.
The revamped roster also includes Jamie Foxx as Benjamin Stacks (aka Daddy Warbucks), Cameron Diaz as Miss Hannigan and Rose Byrne as Grace Farrell. Jay Z will again lend his talents to the film as producer and music supervisor, and thus bringing full circle Hov's relationship with the Charles Strouse/Martin Charnin anthem.
The big screen remake of Annie is set to be released on Christmas Day, 2014. You can count millions of others to follow when it hits.
