Babyface Honored With Star On Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame

Hollywood cemented Kenneth “Babyface” Edmond’s legacy on its “Walk of Fame” Thursday, (October 10) in front of a crowd of his fans and musical peers.

The 54-year-old singer, songwriter and producer has endured a storied career in the industry, spanning nearly four decades. Edmond’s was given the 2,508th star on the prestigious sidewalk and also gifted with a plaque in honor of his accomplishments. P. Diddy, Toni Braxton, Usher, Stevie Wonder and Edmond’s LaFace Records co-founder L.A. Reid were on hand for the ceremony.

“It was surreal,” said the 10-time Grammy winner. “That was not part of the plan. That’s what makes it an amazing thing.”

Babyface is credited with propelling the new jack swing genre and launching the careers of many artist’s such as TLC, Boyz II Men, K-Ci & JoJo and Tevin Campbell. His forthcoming project is a joint album with Toni Braxton, entitled Love, Marriage & Divorce, scheduled to be released on November 25.
