Kanye West’s ‘Yeezus’ Tour Wardrobe Consists Of Maison Martin Margiela Exclusively
Kanye West's inherent love affair with fashion has been well documented, dating back to the days Ye' proclaimed he was the Louis Vuitton Don--toting the high-fashion backpack as proof. His taste for expensive clothes has matured and the costumes for his performances have in result mirrored the lyrics that reference the designer threads. For his first tour since 2008's Glow In The Dark, Kanye has enlisted French designer Maison Martin Margiela to design his entire wardrobe.
According to the UK newspaper Telegraph, the items consist of 10 couture pieces, 20 ready-to-wear pieces and an exclusive pair of trainers. Images of Kanye's first Yeezus tour stop in Seattle, depict the Chicago native wearing an array of Margiela-designed apparel including the designer's gaudy, bejeweled masks. Margiela debuted the masks in their Fall/Winter 2012 collection, prior to West's stint at Atlantic City’s Revel Resort - where he wore the diamond veil for the first time. His highly anticipated "Red October" Yeezy 2's have also made their way on stage, teasing fans of an upcoming release.
The Yeezus Tour is expected to continue tonight, in San Jose, CA at the SAP Center. What will 'Ye wear next? Margiela.
