Robin Thicke And Miley Cyrus Set To Reunite At 2013 MTV EMA

Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus may be taking their raunchy act overseas for the 2013 MTV European Music Awards.

Thicke was just announced as a performer for the awards show, alongside Snoop Dogg, Afrojack and breakthrough band Imagine Dragon. The aforementioned artists will join Katy Perry, The Killers and Thicke's twerking teammate Miley Cyrus as acts slated to hit the stage during the night. Nearly two months ago, Thicke and Cyrus made headlines for a controversial routine that trumped the entire Video Music Awards show - held at the Barclays Center. Both chart-topping acts are unlikely to appear together again but event organizers have not ruled out a joint-performance.

“I am grateful and excited to be nominated and performing at this year's EMAs. I know it will be an amazing night!” said Thicke, who is nominated for four EMAs this year, including Best Song for “Blurred Lines” feat. T.I. and Pharrell, Best Video for “Blurred Lines,” Best World Stage and Best US Act. Cyrus is also up for four awards on the night including the Best Female and Best US Act categories.

The 2013 MTV EMAs will broadcast live Sunday, November 10th from 7:00PM to 10:00 PM ET/PT on MTV in the United States

Beyonce And Travis Scott Are Reportedly Working On Music Together

Who would have imagined Beyonce and Travis Scott would be embarking on new music together? According to Tone Stith, talks of a collaboration between the two artists were buzzing for L.A. songwriters.

Speaking to VIBE for our Views From The Studio series, the 20-year-old shared how his single "Good Company" with Swae Lee and Quavo was created with Beyonce and Travis Scott in mind.

"I made the track originally for Travis Scott and Beyonce because somebody told me they were looking for a song but he [Swae] heard the track and was like, "Let me do something with this."

"Good Company" was also conceived by way of a pick-up basketball game. "They just came over to the house one day. Swae Lee came over first and we were playing basketball," the singer continued. "I don't know if everybody loves basketball, it was a good ice breaker."

Nobody was aware that the "Sicko Mode" rapper was in talks of collaborating with Queen Yonce herself, but we are obviously all here for it. The Houston natives are fans of each other as Bey attended Scott's Astroworld tour last year with Jay Z.

A Billie Holiday Documentary Is Currently In The Works

A documentary about beloved jazz great Billie Holiday--appropriately titled Billie--is in the works and will reportedly feature new interviews from the icon's contemporaries.

According to The Hollywood Reporter James Erskine will helm the film and has received support from the successor to Billie Holiday's estate, Concord. The film will follow Holiday's life through the eyes of 1970's journalist Linda Lipnack Kuehl.

More than 200 hours of interviews with Charles Mingus, Sarah Vaughn, Tony Bennett, Count Basie will be featured, as well as some of Holiday's classmates, her step-parents, her cellmate, her drug dealer, her pimp and even the FBI agent who arrested her will be in the documentary.

Kuehl died in 1979 without completing her book about the "Strange Fruit" singer. Her interviews will be seen for the first time in the forthcoming documentary.

Holiday, real name, Eleanora Fagan, died in 1959. Her life was brought to the big screen in 1972 in the now beloved film Lady Sings the Blues, starring Diana Ross and Billy Dee Williams.

"We are thrilled to be working with the creative team of James Erskine and New Black Films, who have taken great care to produce a documentary that honors the life and work of Billie Holiday in an exciting, genre-defying way," she said in a statement.

Barack Obama Tweets About Duke Basketball Star Zion Williamson's Injury

On Wednesday evening (Feb. 20), former President Barack Obama took time out of his day-to-day activities to sit court side at a Duke vs. North Carolina basketball game. While reports of a $2,900 ticket to attend the game circulated, it was main attraction Zion Williamson that generated everyone’s attention, including No. 44.

During regulation, Williamson tore through his Nike sneaker and injured his knee, immediately taking him out of the game. The Blue Devils succumbed to the Tar Heels 72-88. Since Williamson’s injury, Obama tweeted his well wishes for one of college basketball’s most talked about athletes.

Zion Williamson seems like an outstanding young man as well as an outstanding basketball player. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Since his time at Duke, the power forward has broken the university’s basketball records, namely the single-game points data held by a freshman. Williamson has also garnered attention from the NBA’s leading athletes, specifically LeBron James. The Los Angeles Laker praised Williamson for his athleticism and command of the game.

“With his athleticism, with what we all see, to jump well beyond the 10-foot rim is incredible,” James said to USA Today. “I think what’s also incredible is at his size his speed, his agility, his quickness. And then to add on to that, I think he’s just a great kid.”
