Paramount To Bring ‘Ghost’ To Television

No network is attached to this project, but it’s only a matter of time before one of the big three come a-calling.

Fringe’s Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner have written an incredible pilot based on the 1990 Patrick Swayze-starrer, Ghost. So much so that Paramount Television has joined to bring the project to interested networks.

Both scribes are known for writing supernatural tales of drama with projects such as I Am Legend, Paranormal Activity and Lost.

For those unfamiliar with the story, Ghost found Patrick Swayze’s character as a murdered man turned ghost trying to solve the crime from beyond while also caring for the safety of his girlfriend.

Originally, the film starred Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. The latter we hope agrees to star in the pilot episode and reappear in a reoccurring role when the show gets picked up.
