50 Cent Talks Nelson Mandela & New Project ‘Animal Ambition’ With DJ Whoo Kid

50 Cent has been putting his music on the backburner, focusing more on his television and movies projects. So when he showed up this week on SZA’s remix for “Teen Spirit,” it was a nice surprise. Fif is full of surprises, though.

The former G-Unit rapper phoned into DJ Whoo Kid’s Shade 45 radio show and got philosophical on several recent current events. He gave his thoughts on Nelson Mandela’s passing, Paul Walker’s untimely death and Kanye West’s rants. 50 also talked about his beef with G-Unit and writing the hooks for their raps, and the rapper in skirts epidemic. Toward the end of the 35-minute interview he gave some more info on that new project he plans to release in January, dubbed Animal Ambition: An Untamed Desire To Win.

“It’s inspirational from a different perspective all the way,” said 50 about his new project.

No word on the long-delayed Street King Immortal. Listen to the DJ Whoo Kid interview below.
