Danity Kane Perform ‘Poetry’ Live On ‘KTLA Morning News’

After announcing their resurrection earlier this year, the Danity Kane ladies — Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard — hit KTLA’s ‘Morning News’ show to perform an acoustic version of “Poetry” from their 2008 album Welcome To The Dollhouse. The group has been in the studio working on a comeback album that will include acoustic elements. “I think before a lot of it was done for us, and now it’s ours,” said Aundrea. Dawn added, “This time around, we’re gonna let our genres shine.”

Speaking about their decision to get back together, Aubrey had this to say: “We really wanted to come back and unite and correct the wrongs in the past and really redefine ourselves and not allow anyone to put an ending on something that we felt was legendary.”

Their first comeback show in five years will be at the sold-out House of Blues in L.A. this coming Monday (Dec. 16). For now, watch their “Poetry” performance below. — Max Weinstein
