There Are No Bad Guys In ‘American Hustle,’ According To Christian Bale
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are making moves together on the big screen, yet again. Director David O. Russell, the man behind the Oscar-nominated film Silver Linings Playbook and The Fighter, brings together both those films’ main players in his new flick American Hustle. The crime comedy-drama is based on the FBI ABSCAM operation of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
In this episode of Movies With Milan, VIBE’s film correspondent Milan Carter sits down with the actors of the film to talk about good guys versus bad guys.
“Nobody looks at themselves as a bad guy, you know very few people will look at themselves as a bad guy,” says Christian Bale, who plays a conman in the film. “You know everyone can justify what they’re doing and that’s what we’re trying to bring the audience in.”
American Hustle hits theaters Dec. 20.
