It seems it’s only socially acceptable for picture-perfect women to be featured in magazines, television and movies—but what about the rest of us who stand tall with flaws and all? Casting Director, Allison Jones, the media vet with three decades under her belt has made a phenomenal impact in the industry. Jones believes that the importance of “pretty” in the industry is being put on too high of a pedestal. “There’s still pushback, especially with women”, Jones said. “When they’re not that attractive but they’re hilarious, it still doesn’t matter to many people. They don’t get it.”
