Eminem To Reunite With D12 On Wax?
Still fresh off the release of his eighth studio effort The Marshall Mathers LP 2 last November, Eminem shows no plans of slowing down. The Detroit rep has reportedly been hitting the studio again with his old groupmates from D12.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Mark Bass, co-owner of F.B.T Studios in Em's native Detroit who has worked with Slim Shady and D12 in the past, says that he's currently in the studio with the dirty dozen once again:
“Bass, who has started a label called Motunes Media, says he’s also been mixing new material by the mercurial funk-pop giant Sly Stone with members of the original Family Stone band, along with new D12 tracks, including three with Eminem."
The family portrait may not be complete as D12 member Bizarre announced he was no longer part of the group back in February 2012. "We just had creative differences and decided to go our separate ways – well I decided to go my separate way,” the rapper told HipHopDX.
Meanwhile, Marshall is still staying in the spotlight. He was recently spotted on the cover of ESPN magazine beside Detroit Lion Calvin Johnson, a three-cover sports and music mash-up that also included Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant.
Next month, Em is also set to begin his mini-tour in Australia and Africa, kicking off Feb. 15 in Auckland, New Zealand.
