Jessie J Withdraws From Robin Thicke’s Upcoming Tour
In September 2013, Jessie J and Robin Thicke teamed up on a video shoot for their collaborative DJ Cassidy track, “Calling All Hearts.” The visual has yet to be released, but news swirled of the singers going on tour together in early 2014. Now, Jessie J has backed out of the “Feel Good” crooner’s U.S. performances, stating that she plans to focus on finishing up her album Alive, the “Domino” artist posted on Twitter. “Out of respect to my USA fans I want to be honest. I will not be supporting Robin Thicke on his USA tour,” the English singer tweeted. “My team and I have decided it’s best I prioritize recording/studio and promo to finish the album for my US fans and having the opp (opportunity) for a single to be released for you sooner than later.” The “Thunder” singer promised to make it up to the fans that were looking forward to her live performances across the U.S., adding “Timing isn’t always perfect but I want to make it work! And hopefully have my own shows in the USA someday! I hope you understand. I’m sorry to all the fans who were coming. I will make it up by making sure you have more of me and my music this year.” Thicke will kick off his stateside tour beginning Feb. 21 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Ga.
