Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Working On ‘The Heist’ Follow-Up

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis aren’t completely done with the run behind their breakthrough LP The Heist. The LP, Macklemore’s second studio album, is up for seven Grammys at the Jan. 26 awards show in Los Angeles, including Album of the Year and Best rap Album. That’s not stopping them from hitting the studio for the next one.

After spending the holidays down in Mexico, Macklemore posted a pick of Lewis on his Instagram with the caption “Very happy to be back in the lab with this guy….”

No word on what kind of collaborations the new LP might field. Much of The Heist included guest appearances from underground and emerging artists, the biggest names being Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Ben Bridwell of indie-folk band Band of Horses. But, with the album selling some million-plus copies independently, it’s possible the duo might wrangle in bigger talent. At least their sticking together for another one again.
