Keyshia Cole and Other Celebrities With Major Tax Issues
The government wants Keyshia Cole to pay up!
Uncle Sam just smacked the singer with a hulking bill and will soon confiscate her assets if they don’t see dollar signs. According to RadarOnline, a lien filed on November 25 of last year discloses that Cole owes the IRS $162,158.93 in back taxes from 2009.
“We have made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid,” the documents against the former reality star state. The government is claiming the singer hasn’t paid taxes since the success of her first headlining tour A Different Me Tour. “Therefore, there is a lien in favor of the United States on all property and rights to property belonging to this taxpayer for the amount of taxes and additional penalties, interest, and cost that may accrue.”
One thing we’ve learned is that it doesn’t pay to dodge your federal responsibilities. However, Keyshia isn’t alone in her tax battle. Flip the page and see what other celebrities found themselves in hot water over unpaid taxes.
