Kylie Minogue Dishes On New Album, Working With Pharrell And Signing With Roc Nation

Gearing up for the Mar. 18 release of her twelfth studio album Kiss Me Once, Kylie Minogue revealed a few intimate details about her new body of work with Idolator.

The Australian songbird gathered the top producers in the music industry to assist in this project, working with Sia to Pharrell, who placed their magical touch on her album.

The 45-year-old artist said after meeting the “Happy” singer in the studio, she broke down into tears once the Oscar-nominee asked her, “Hey, how are you?”

“It was a simple question, but a complex answer. Anyway, I couldn’t hold it together,” Minogue said. “I had a teary moment, which he very graciously talked me through. Aside from that little story, he was great to work with. Very chilled, getting on with stuff, creating the track there in the moment.”

On her label situation with Jay Z’s Roc Nation, the “Into The Blue” singer said, “They’re very dynamic, very proactive and also very aware of my history, and being sensitive to that.”
