Lamar Odom Says Khloe Kardashian Will 'Always Be My Wife'
Lamar Odom may have moved on from the NBA, but the 34-year-old basketball star has certainly not let go of his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian. In an interview with Us Weekly following a press conference for his new Spanish basketball team, Odom made it clear where Kardashian -- who filed for divorce in December --stands to him.
"I love my wife. She'll always be my wife, no matter what," he said. "Who knows? We don't know exactly if [the divorce is going through]. Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife."
Odom spoke of his marriage to Kardashian in high regard. He even called wedding the reality star one of his greatest achievements.
"Those were some of the best years of my life," he said. "Being married and being married to a woman I decided to marry was, besides having children, the most important thing in my life."
The former L.A. Clipper also spoke of his troubles, including alleged drug abuse, and said that his trials have served as a learning experience, and that no one is without error.
"We all have regrets, but the thing is to learn from life. There's no one in this room, no one in this world who can say, 'I'm mistake-free, I have made no mistakes,'" he said. "If you can introduce me to that person, please introduce me to that person. Let me meet him and speak to him."
And while things remain unresolved with Kardashian, Odom is still gearing up to return to the court. He shared that he is working with his new coach to determine when he will be ready to play again.
"I feel good and every day I'm getting closer to closer to being on the court, but it's a work in progress,” he said.
