Mick Jagger Breaks Silence About Longtime Girlfriend’s Death

Renowned rocker Mick Jagger has released a statement about the apparent suicide death of L’Wren Scott, his girlfriend of 13 years.

On Tuesday (March 18), the Rolling Stones frontman posted a heartfelt tribute to his lover on his Facebook page.

“I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way,” he wrote. “We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.”

He added, “She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me,” before noting the massive outpour of support that has flooded in: “I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received.”

The Hall of Famer closed by saying, “I will never forget her.”

Scott was a top fashion designer who dressed celebs from First Lady Michelle Obama to Sarah Jessica Parker. She was found dead yesterday morning (March 17) in her New York City apartment by her assistant.

Jagger and the rest of his band have since cancelled their March 19 show in Perth, Australia, leaving the rest of their tour overseas in a balance.
