Petey Pablo Released From Prison, Plans To Get Back In The Studio With Timbaland

Petey Pablo was released from federal prison on Thursday (Mar. 13), after serving a 35-month sentence for a stolen firearm charge in 2010. Now, the North Carolina-native has plans to hit the studio again, this time with Timbaland behind the production boards.

“I’m now headed to the work shop to begin what will be noted as my best work ever with one of the greatest producers of all time,” Pablo said in a statement sent to MTV. “My Brother, my friend, my partner for life: mega producer Timbaland, the King!”

The pair have worked together on previous songs, one being the infectious anthem “Raise Up” in 2001.

“I just want to say that I’m totally glad to be back in the race and behind the wheel of a car that has been fine-tuned for the greatest performance,” the “Freek-A-Leek” rapper said.
