The-Dream Accused Of Attacking Pregnant Ex-Girlfriend
Accusations against The-Dream just got real. New York police authorities are scoping out the singer-songwriter after he allegedly punched, kicked and strangled his baby momma while she was pregnant with their son.
Sources tell TMZ that the 36-year-old attacked his ex-girlfriend, Lydia Nam, in April 2013 at the Plaza Hotel, three months before the baby was born. Nam reportedly waited till November to file a police report and did not indicate if she sought medical attention for the alleged assault.
The producer, real name Terius Nash and known for his work with Jay Z, Beyoncé and Rihanna, is now under investigation by law enforcement for Nam's allegations. He claims that the accusations are just a ploy for Nam, who's Canadian, to extend her visa in the U.S.
This isn't the first time Dream has landed in hot water with the popo. He was also reportedly arrested in connection with a separate domestic violence incident that involved Nam last June in Newport, Calif. She did not press charges.
Nash also has three children with his first wife, Nivea, and a daughter with second wife, Christina Milian. He divorced Nivea in 2007 and Milian in 2010.
