Ready for summer? Ready for tropical weather? How about some “tropical house”?

Enter Kygo, who, according to Billboard is, “dissatisfied with the stylistic staleness of the progressive house genre.”

22-year-old Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, an up-and-coming Norwegian producer is gaining international attention with his effervescent, uplifting, feel-good remixes and unique style.

Kygo just did a mix for Diplo’s BBC Radio 1xtra show, with Diplo just raving about him. In the mix, Diplo praises Kygo saying, “Massive remixes, he keeps it around 100 BPM, he keeps it sexy…this guy has his own sound, that’s what I love on Diplo and Friends, when someone is one hundred percent original.”

His remix of Syn Cole’s “Miami 82” is in the official promotional video for Ultra Music Festival 2014, and his remix of Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” has already garnered over 5 million plays on Soundcloud. According to Billboard, Kygo was also recently commissioned to officially remix Coldplay’s latest single, “Midnight.”

On top of all that, Kygo is already booked at Tommorowland, Feelings Festival and The Hudson Project. And he announced a North American Tour, starting on May 29 in Vancouver.
