Jermaine Dupri & Ne-Yo To Be Honored At ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards

Jermaine Dupri and Ne-Yo will be honored at this year’s ASCAP’s Rhythm and Soul Music Awards, Billboard reports.

The So So Def CEO will be receiving the ASCAP Founder’s Award while Ne-Yo will be honored with the the Golden Note Award. The 27th annual event, which is invitation only, will take place on June 26 in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. This event will salute the songwriters and publishers of the most performed ASCAP songs on the 2013 R&B/Hip-Hop, Rap and Gospel charts.

JD will be joining the likes of Berry Gordy, Dr. Dre, Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder as a recipient of this honor. Ne-Yo, who just released his “Money Can’t Buy” single featuring Jeezy, will also be among a number of musical greats as a Golden Note recipient, such as producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Pharrell Williams and Alicia Keys.
