Magic Johnson and Anderson Cooper

Magic Johnson Responds To Donald Sterling Comments

Basketball legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson isn't returning the shade after Donald Sterling's diss during last night's interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN.

"If I said anything wrong, I'm sorry. He's a good person. I mean, what am I going to say? Has he done everything he can do to help minorities? I don't think so," the L.A. Clippers owner said. "But I’ll say it, he's great. But I don't think he's a good example for the children of Los Angeles."

Magic rebutted in a new sit-down with Cooper, saying, "My whole life is devoted to urban America. So, you know I just wish he knew the facts when he’s talking. But he's a man who's upset and he's reaching. He's reaching. He's trying to find something that he can grab on to help him save his team. And it's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. The board of governors now have to do their job. Adam Silver, our Commissioner of the NBA, did a wonderful job of banning him for life. Now the Board of Governors have got to do their job."

He adds, "Again, I'm going to pray for the man because even if I see him today, I'm going to say hello to Donald and his wife as well," Johnson said. "I'm not a guy who holds grudges and all that. Yes, am I upset? Of course! But at the same time, I'm a God-fearing man and I'm going to pray for him and hope things work out for him."

Sterling received a lifetime ban from the league two weeks ago after a leaked recording revealed him saying racist remarks about black people to his mistress, V. Stiviano. He was allegedly enraged that Stiviano was taking photos with Johnson and posting them on Instagram, which led to him saying "Don't put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don't bring him to my games."

The full interview airs tonight (May 13) on Anderson Cooper 360° at 8pm.

Dave East Teases Potential Move To The NBA

He's a rapper, an actor, and soon-to-be professional basketball player? Dave East is a man of many talents. The Def Jam artist revealed to TMZ Sports that he's considering making a play for the NBA and trying out for the New York Knicks team. A proud born-and-raised New Yorker, East said that the Knicks are the only team on his mind.

"I might," the 31-year old said when asked if he would try out for the NBA. "It's gotta be the Knicks though. It's gotta be in New York." The rapper's pursuit of a professional basketball career isn't too farfetched, in fact, he had a successful career as a college basketball player.

His years playing in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) as a teenager against current NBA players Ty Lawson, Greivis Vazquez, and Kevin Durant, who he developed a close friendship with, led the rapper to division one scholarship offers from the University of Richmond and Towson University. East ended up playing for the Richmond Spiders but later transferred to Towson where he also didn't last too long due to his deteriorating relationship with the school's coach.

Soon after leaving Towson, East traded in his basketball sneakers for a mic and a studio booth and hasn't looked back since — until now. His 6-foot-5 frame definitely increases his chances of playing in the league and he wouldn't be the first rapper to make the switch; Master P famously played for the Toronto Raptors and the Charlotte Hornets in 1999 and 1998, respectively.

If luck is on the Harlem rapper's side and if the NBA trade rumors are true, East could very well end up playing with his friend Durant and prized point guard of the Boston Celtics, Kyrie Irving.

New Jersey Couple Goes Missing In Barbados After Renting Jet Skis

On Saturday (June 22), New Jersey couple Oscar Suarez, 32, and Magdalena Devil, 25, started their vacation in Barbados. The pair were scheduled to return to the States on June 29, but have now been deemed missing at sea after renting jet skis.

According to NBC News, the couple disappeared on Monday (June 24), after departing the leasing location at Holetown Beach. Their vanishing was made known to local authorities by the jet ski rental's owner who noticed the pair didn't return at the mandated time of 2:55 p.m., after taking off at 2:30 p.m. Devil and Suarez both had on life jackets. An inquiry was also made by law enforcement at their temporary residence, Discovery Bay Hotel.

The Police Marine Unit and Barbados Coast Guard stated its search ranged from the point of departure to the Barbados Port which is a number of miles away, the New York Post adds. The hotel's management also revealed that neither Devil or Suarez returned to the place that day. The jet skis have not been found as well.

Cardi B Stands Trial In New "Press" Music Video

Cardi B is taking major risks in her new music video. The Bronx native released the visuals for her latest single, "Press" on Wednesday (June 26), and she managed to fit a murder trial and choreographed, naked sequence all into a three-minute video.

The Jora Frantzis-directed video appears to open with Cardi committing a heinous crime. She then finds herself being interrogated by police and standing trial. That's when things start getting interesting. As she stands before a jury in an all-white outfit, the video also cuts to another scene where a visibly, nipple-less Cardi and her minions dance in the street. By the end of the video, Cardi makes one final order, which results in a courtroom full of dead people.

Interestingly enough, Cardi is currently dealing with legal issues in her real life. The rapper recently pleaded not guilty to allegedly ordered a hit on two bartenders at a New York strip club last year. Let's hope that case doesn't end like the one in this video.

Watch the visuals for "Press" above.
