NBA Insider: Marquis Daniels’ 2014 Conference Finals Predictions Pt. II
Game One Recap
In game one of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, Indiana showed us why most felt they were contenders to win the NBA title at the beginning of the year. After playing “OK” basketball in the first two rounds, Indiana has elevated their team play and was hitting on all cylinders against a Miami Heat team that breezed through their first 10 games of the playoffs. The Pacers came out early and didn’t let up sparked by point guard George Hill, who was aggressive from the tip off.
Miami didn’t play the brand of basketball we’re used to seeing from the defending champs. They made many mental errors in game one but expect to see a different team and a sense of urgency come tonight. Heat forward Chris Bosh wont miss too many more opportunities like he did on Sunday. He’s a veteran player with championship pedigree and knows what it takes to get it done. The other two members of Miami’s Big Three, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James will continue to be forces throughout this series and create shots for team.
Indiana took the first game, but will Miami come ready to steal one on the road? I think so. I’m predicting a 10-point win from the Heat. Game two should be full of energy and passion. Get your popcorn ready for another battle between two great teams with one goal in mind: Championship.
