Ne-Yo Reveals Plans To Release New Album This Summer

Ne-Yo is preparing to heat up your summer with the highly-anticipated release of his untitled sixth studio album.

After tweeting the cover art for the project's lead single, "Money Can't Buy" featuring Young Jeezy, the "Let Me Love You" crooner captioned the picture with “The wait is almost over." The 31-year-old also sent out an earlier tweet confirming the forthcoming melodies, saying “Album #6....It starts on Tuesday!!.”

The producer/songwriter mentioned that this album will chiefly be R&B, telling Billboard "I had a little stint with the dance music and all of that, which I had a good time with– and I love the audience, I love them for accepting me doing it –but I had to go home on this one. Had to take it back to my roots, and not to say that there won’t be one, maybe two songs on there that the dance crowd can get into, but the majority, the girth of the album, will be R&B.”

13-Year-Old Texas Girl On Life Support After Middle School Fit

A 13-year-old Texas girl is on life support after being attacked by a group of girls after school last week.  According to Houston's ABC 13, the middle schooler has been at the Texas Children's Hospital for the past two days.

Kashala Francis reportedly was attacked Thursday (April 18) by two girls when another jumped in and kicked her in the head. When she went home, Kashala had a bruise on her face and told her mother, Mamie Jackson, what happened, but said she was okay.

On Saturday, the teen was visiting a family member's house when she began to act delusional but then gathered her bearings. The next day, Kashala complained to her mother over the phone of a headache.

"I drove over and I told her get up. I said 'Get up, Kashala.' She kept saying, 'Mama, my head hurt,' so she laid down," Jackson said.

Jackson told reporters by the time she called paramedics, her daughter was unconscious. While at the hospital it was discovered Kashala had a tumor in the back of her head. Doctor's aren't sure if the fight contributed to it, or did she have it prior.

Trump Reportedly Complained To Twitter CEO About Having Less Followers Than Obama

Per The Daily Beast, Donald Trump had a meeting with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, where he reportedly complained about having less followers than the 44th President, Barack Obama. The report reads that 45 spent “an inordinate amount of time” complaining about how he’s lost a sizable amount of Twitter followers, among other things.

Trump’s social media director Dan Scavino reportedly spent a large portion of the meeting, which took place in the Oval Office, discussing the likely reasons why Trump’s follower count has decreased. A source familiar with the meeting that took place says he believes that “anti-Trump, anti-conservative Twitter purges” are likely to blame.

“Two people close to Trump previously told The Daily Beast that Trump has repeatedly griped to associates about how his predecessor, President Obama, has had more Twitter followers than he has, even though—by Trump’s own assessment—he is so much better at Twitter than Obama is,” the report continues.

Meanwhile, Obama recently had a street named after him in Los Angeles on Tuesday, April 23.

“Our history is important and this is one way that we will ensure that America’s 44th President’s legacy is shared for generations to come for Angelenos and visitors alike,” said Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson of  Obama Boulevard.

Gary Owen In Hot Water For 'N-Word' Tweet Referencing Damian Lillard

Gary Owen is in hot water with Black Twitter regarding a recent tweet referencing the N-word, NBA star Damian Lillard and his coach, Terry Stotts.

While presumably watching the highly-discussed Portland Trailblazers’ first-round series game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, where Damian Lillard made an impressive, game-winning shot, Owen tweeted, “If Portland’s coach could say the N word that was the perfect time. This N word just hit that sh*t. WOW."

People who follow the actor-comedian or are just passing by are urging him to take down the tweet. “Yeah this is why i have a problem with us letting these white folks all the way into the culture, because at the end of the day…” one Twitter user wrote under the tweet. Another responded, “Cookout invite retracted there, sir!”

Owen, who has been seen in many  predominantly black-lead films such as Think Like A Man and The Little Man, has not taken the tweet down yet.
