Vixen NEXT Artist: Courtney Noelle

Taylor Gang's Courtney Noelle is up NEXT.

Taylor Gang songstress Courtney Noelle was once too shy to sing in front of an audience. Now, the sweet and sultry vocalist lets loose on the highs and lows of love on her mixtape, Love On The Run. With features from label mates Ty Dolla $ign, Juicy J, Chevy Woods and TGOD boss Wiz Khalifa, the Pittsburgh native has brushed aside fears of the industry and come into her own woman. “I didn’t want to conform into all these things I thought I would have to do and be to be an entertainer, to be in the spotlight,” she tells VIBE Vixen. “I thought if I tried to be a singer they would put me in a bikini top and put me on a broccoli and cheese diet (laughs).”

At 16, she began to hit the studio and nailed her first breakout feature on childhood friend Khalifa’s 2009 project, Star Power. Two years later, she released her first project Wishing On A Star, detailing her struggle to make it.  “I was dead broke and I went on Soundclick and I downloaded all these free beats and I wrote to them.” Once Wiz heard the project, he signed Courtney to his Taylor Gang imprint and the rest was herstory. Get familiar with the 26-year-old songbird and her musical mission to do things her own, tailored way.
