Venus and Serena Williams Defeated in French Open
Tennis superstar siblings Venus and Serena Williams have surprisingly been sent home from the French Open. Serena lost to 20-year-old Garbine Muguruza of Spain, who had never won a set or match against a high-ranked player until now. This is the worst loss of the 32-year-old’s career and was her first second-round defeat since she lost the 1998 Australian open to her sister,Venus, in her first Grand Slam appearance. Venus, 33, was defeated as well by 19-year-old Anna Schmiedlova of Slovakia. Now Muguruza and Schmiedlova will be battling against each other in the next round. We hope our favorite volleying Vixens get ‘em next time.
