Maya Angelou Passes at 86


It’s with a heavy heart that we have to report the passing of Maya Angelou.

After weeks of ailing health problems, the legendary poet and civil rights activist was found dead at her home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina by her caretaker, earlier today (May 28th).

She’s celebrated as one of the greatest writers of her generation. As well as the first African American woman to receive the Pulitzer Prize—in addition to countless other literary accolades.

Our condolences go out to her family and fans worldwide.
