Former N.W.A Manager Disappointed With Biopic
Now that the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton is in full swing, the first disgruntled party has decided to speak out. During a recent visit to The Murder Master Music Show, N.W.A.’s former manager Jerry Heller has shared his thoughts and involvement in the upcoming biopic.
“I really don’t know anything about that movie, they haven’t contacted me about it,” said Heller. “They haven’t asked me to be part of it. I really know very little about it. It’s disappointing to me, but those guys have their own agenda.”
Heller, who also founded Ruthless Records with Eazy-E, says the project may not be a credible account because the people involved don’t know what really happened.
“I have no idea who,” he said when asked who could portray him. “I just think that there’s nobody involved with that project that you're talking about that really has any inside information about what really happened. You know, my book tells what really happened. So we'll just stick around and see.”
The film is slated to hit theaters August 14th, 2015. So far, actors Marcus Callendar, Jason Mitchell, Michael B. Jordan and Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson have been casted for the flick.
