Hope Solo Pleads Not Guilty to Domestic Violence
Goalkeeper for the U.S. women’s soccer team, Hope Solo, was arrested at her Seattle home Saturday morning during a domestic dispute. Solo reportedly struck her sister and teenage nephew during a house party she was hosting.
According to police statements the officers responding to the 911 call could hear noise from the “disturbance” on the street. Solo’s sister and 17-year-old nephew were visibly injured and Solo herself appeared to be “intoxicated and upset,” said police.
According to the jail’s inmate registry, Solo was being held on two charges of domestic violence assault in the fourth degree. Released on Monday after entering a not guilty plea, she was ordered not to have contact with the alleged victims or drink alcohol.
