Legendary Soul Singer Bobby Womack Dead At 70


Bobby Womack, most affectionately known for his stellar track “If You Think You’re Lonely Now” has died at the age of 70, his record label XL Recordings confirmed to Rolling Stone on Friday (June 27).

The cause of death is still unknown, but there are reports of Womack suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, and also battled colon cancer.

The Cleveland-native was slated to release his next album this year, reportedly titled The Best Is Yet To Come, which featured guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Ron Isley, and Stevie Wonder.
