Some 1990s hip-hop groups want to restore the price value back into studio albums. First Wu-Tang Clan announced their plans to record a one-of-one album to sell to the highest bidder. Up next is Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony. BTNH member Krayzie Bone announced that he and his St. Clair thugs will release their final and one-copy album to be auctioned off for least $1 million, Krayzie said during an interview with Hip-Hop DX
"We're just looking forward to seeing how far we can go with it. It's gonna be a classic album. It's gonna be a double CD," Krayzie said. "One CD will just us with our original Bone sound. That second CD, we're gonna bring in as many of the guest appearances that we've worked with in the past to the new generation."
The Cleveland rap group got the idea to record a one-of-one album after the Wu announced the release of their forthcoming project Upon A Time In Shaolin.
BTNH's final LP will include production from DJ U-Neek and features from Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, and Mariah Carey, Krayzie Bone said.
