Drake Pissed After Tennis Player Claimed To Have Lost Because Of His Music?
Drake doesn't take too kindly to shade. Either that or he doesn't understand Nick Kyrgios' humor. According to Sports Illustrated, the 19-year-old tennis player had a slow start beating opponent Jiri Vesely at Wimbledon and Drizzy's tunes were partially to blame. "I came out really flat, so hopefully I won’t listen to that again," Kyrgios said. "It was actually Drake. Didn’t do the job for me." Stereogum reports that Drake caught wind of the statement and wasn't too pleased by it. He sounded off during a tense moment on a pre-ESPYs conference call. "I also want to meet this guy that says that he lost because he listened to my music," he said. "I also want to meet that guy and look him in the eye and see exactly who he is as a man and size him up and then chop him right down. Nick whatever-his-name-is — ’cause he didn’t win, so that’s how he’s going to be remembered: “Nick whatever-his-name-is.” Awkwardly enough, Kyrgios actually didn't lose anything. He beat Nadal in his next match. But the Aussie player assured that he meant no harm and he is indeed a Drake fan.
Let's be clear. I like @Drake - love his music, just said I was a little flat, ended up winning that match. No blame game here.
