Cocktail Tease: Celebrate National Mojito Day With 5 Skinny Recipes
Shame on us for forgetting National Mojito Day (July 11)! We never turn down the opportunity for a cool drink on a hot summer day--especially when it involves mint leaves (YUM!). In honor of yet another boozy holiday, click through for 5 recipes that will quench your thirst and cut out calories.

Raspberry Mint Mojito
-6 or 7 fresh raspberries
-4 fresh mint leaves
-1 Tbsp lime juice
-1 packet Stevia
-3 Tbsp rum
-2/3 cup club soda
-Place raspberries, mint leaves, lime juice and sweetener in the bottom of your glass.
-Muddle together so that all your raspberries and mint leaves are crushed, top with ice and pour in your rum and club soda.
-Add a few additional mint leaves and raspberries if desired; garnish with a lime peel. Enjoy!

Iced Green Tea Mojito
-1 tbsp fresh lime juice
-4 large spearmint leaves, plus more for garnish
-4 baby arugula leaves
-2 tsp sugar (I used raw, use your favorite sweetener)
-1/2 cup brewed green tea, chilled
-1 oz white rum
Muddle the lime juice, mint, arugula, and sugar together in a tall Collins glass until the leaves bruise lightly and the flavors release. Add ice until glass is about 3/4 full and then pour in rum and green tea. Stir well and garnish with mint and lime.

Basil Mint Mojitos
-3 cups basil + mint, loosely packed
-1/2 cup superfine sugar (or regular, but superfine dissolves well)
-3.5 cups light rum
-2 cups fresh lime juice
-1 cup sparkling water
-Muddle sugar and herbs with a small amount of rum.
-Add remaining rum and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to several hours.
-Strain the herbs out, stir in the lime juice.
-Add sparkling water to taste and serve over ice.

Alcohol-Free Mojito Spritzer
-1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
-¼ cup fresh grape juice
-2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
-¼ cup sparkling water
-1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
-6 fresh mint sprigs
-Juice fresh grapes, orange and lime.
-Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
-Garnish with lime wedge.

-6-8 mint leaves
-10 fresh blueberries
-1.5 ounce simple syrup
-1-1.5 ounce rum (depending on how strong you like it)
-juice of one lime
-3 ounces club soda
-more blueberries for garnish
-To make the simple syrup, combine the ingredients in sauce pan and bring to a small boil over medium heat while stirring. Once the mixture boils, turn down the heat to low for an additional minute or two. Then remove from heat and let cool for about 20 minutes or until the mixture is at room temperature.
